THOMAS W. JEFFREY

Ironshore’s CEO and Managing Director, has overseen its investment strategy and day-to-day operations since the firm was founded in 2007. He has broad experience in real estate finance, investment and operations, with a focus on complex investments and distressed situations. Mr. Jeffrey has been involved in real estate investment and development as a senior executive of public and private firms in the Southeast United States for over 20 years. Prior to his real estate career, he was a practicing attorney specializing in securities litigation and bankruptcy with WilmerHale in Washington, DC. Mr. Jeffrey is a graduate of Western Michigan University and Wayne State University Law School, with a B.S. in Political Science and a J.D., cum laude.

JONATHAN B. KEARNS

Managing Director, leads Ironshore’s finance and accounting functions. Prior to joining the firm in 2007, he served as the chief financial officer of a private equity-backed company in the environmental and pharmaceutical testing industry. He also has considerable experience in the financial control function, including as controller for a Texas-based international construction company. Mr. Kearns is a certified public accountant and Bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University.

J. KENNETH MCLENDON

joined Ironshore in 2012 as a Managing Director and Senior Investment Manager after representing the firm for two years in the Washington, DC market. Mr. McLendon has in excess of 30 years experience in all facets of real estate development and construction lending, equity investment, distressed investment and workouts. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. McLendon was owner of McLean Partners, LLC, a real estate investment advisory firm engaged in the Mid-Atlantic and Southeastern states. He began his career with Citizens and Southern National Bank and Citizen and Southern Realty Investors (CSRI) in Atlanta. Mr. McLendon is a graduate of the University of Georgia, Terry School of Business, with a Bachelor’s degree in finance and real estate.
